Tailings Storage Facility Superintendent Vacancy

The TSF Superintendent (Metallurgy – Tailings Storage Facility) is responsible for the management, design, operation and safety of all Tailings Storage Facilities (TSF) for the site’s mineral processing operations. This includes ensuring the integrity of the TSF structures, maximising water recovery, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. The role also entails overseeing the construction of new TSFs and managing existing ones to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering, chemical engineering or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Tailings Management, Mineral Processing or related fields would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in tailings storage, management with the mining industry with a proven track record in managing TSFs
  • Extensive experience in the design and construction of TSFs, including overseeing large-scale projects
